Melanie Adelson, the University of Miami Business Law Review Alumni Editor, has been selected as the inaugural Martin J. Nash Scholar. The Martin J. Nash Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2013 to honor Mr. Nash’s life achievements as one of the most creative tax attorneys in the country.
Melanie is currently pursuing a dual degree in the J.D. / LL.M. in Taxation program. In addition to being an outstanding scholar and representative of the University community, Melanie has furthered alumni relationships for UMBLR by undertaking a comprehensive overhaul of the organization’s alumni information databases and organizing the Review‘s first-ever alumni happy hour.
With the generous support of Gray Robinson associate and former UMBLR Editor in Chief Christina Guzman, Melanie is already in the late stages of putting together a second happy hour, on Thursday, March 5, 2015. For more details on the event, please contact Melanie at madelson@students.law.miami.edu.
Congratulations Melanie on a great honor, and thank you for your continued dedication to the Review!
